Clara Neelands, LMT & RYT
Available Wednesdays from 12:00-5:00pm
Clara Neelands studied psychology and neurology at UMass Boston from 2004-2009. Fascinated in somatic healing, and the Body-mind paradigm, Clara attended Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy, Boston and received her certificate of Massage Therapy in 2011. Her training has included a detailed background of anatomy and physiology as an integral part of clinical assessment. She has a pallet of techniques that work with the different layers of soft tissue that release blockages and tension holding patterns, and help to retrain neural pathways in the body, helping clients find ease and comfort in their own structural alignment.
Clara appreciated Cortiva Institute’s focus on medical research in massage therapy, and joined Sue Maple, president of Cortiva, in teaching a soft tissue workshop for Physical Therapy students at the University of Rhode Island.
